G. A. Melhem, President and CEO
Prior to founding ioMosaic Corporation, Dr. Melhem was president of Pyxsys
Corporation; a technology subsidiary of Arthur D. Little Inc. Prior to Pyxsys
and during his twelve years tenure at Arthur D. Little, Dr. Melhem was a vice
president and managing director of Arthur D. Little's Global Safety and Risk
Management Practice and its Process Safety and Reaction Engineering Laboratory.
Dr. Melhem is an internationally known pressure relief design, chemical
reaction systems, and fire and explosion dynamics expert. In this regard he has
provided consulting and design services, expert testimony and incident
investigation support, and reconstruction for a large number of clients.
Dr. Melhem holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering, as well as a B.S.
in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Industrial Engineering, all from
Northeastern University, Boston, MA. In addition, he has completed executive
training in the areas of Finance and Strategic Sales Management at the Harvard
Business School.
Henry Ozog, General Partner
Prior to joining ioMosaic Corporation, Mr. Ozog was a consultant with Arthur D.
Little, Inc. for twenty one years, where he managed the process
safety consulting business. He also worked for seven years at the DuPont
Company as a process and startup engineer.
Mr. Ozog is an expert in process safety and risk management, process hazard
analysis (HAZOP, FMEA, FTA), and process safety auditing. He has helped
numerous companies and governmental agencies identify process risks and
implement cost effective mitigation measures. He teaches courses in each of
these areas and is also an instructor for the American Institute of Chemical
Engineers' Educational Services.
Mr. Ozog has a B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology. He is a member of the American Institute of Chemical
Engineers and serves on various sub-committees for them.
Neil Prophet, Senior Partner
Mr. Prophet has over fourteen years experience in the field of process safety,
having previously worked for Det Norske Veritas and Berwanger, Inc., Mr. Prophet’s
roles in the process safety field have included consulting, technical support,
technical sales, training, project management and operations management.
Mr. Prophet has presented over fifty training courses and seminars covering consequence
analysis and risk analysis software, to both operating and consulting companies around
the world.
He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Energy Systems and the Environment and a B.Eng. in
Chemical Engineering, both from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland.
Casey Houston, E.I.T., Senior Partner
Mr. Houston has extensive experience in ERS design and application development. He
manages our Minneapolis office and all aspects of emergency relief systems (ERS)
evaluation and design projects for major oil, gas and petrochemical manufacturers.
Prior to joining ioMosaic Corporation, he was a consultant with Berwanger, Inc.,
responsible for all technical and managerial aspects of relief systems evaluation
and design.
Mr. Houston holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University and
is a member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) and the American
Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).
Daniel Nguyen, P.E., Senior Partner
Before joining ioMosaic, Mr. Nguyen was a manager in the Safety and Risk Management
division at Arthur D. Little, Inc., where he conducted a wide-range of process safety
and risk management activities.
Mr. Nguyen manages product development, along with all aspects of emergency relief systems
(ERS) evaluation and design projects in the petrochemical, chemical, and pharmaceutical
industries.
He hold a B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering both from Tufts University. He is also a member
of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Boston Chapter and the DIERS Users Group.
