September 16 - 18, 2008 in St. Louis, Missouri
Overview:
2008 has been a turning point for industry on addressing their dust explosion
hazards. It is now well known that OSHA and others are focused on enforcing
current recognized and generally accepted engineering practices (RAGAGEPs) for
dust explosion prevention. Per NFPA 654 a key aspect of this involves
identification of hazards through process hazard analyses. This course,
Combustible Dust PHA Leader Training, will provide the tools to conduct
comprehensive PHAs. Leadership Training utilizing Checklists and HAZOP
methodologies will be provided.
Key Topics Covered:
-
Catastrophic Incidents
-
Recent Regulatory Action
(Including participating by OSHA and Georgia's State Fire Marshall's
Office.)
-
Understanding and Characterizing Dust Explosion Hazards
-
Relevant Codes and Practices

-
Workshop sessions
In addition an invitation to a representative from the Georgia’s State Fire
Marshall's has been extended (attendance unconfirmed).
