Building on fundamental knowledge, this 1-day course provides learners with a better understanding of contemporary, proven best practices and methodologies for pressure relief and flare system (PRFS) design. Based on Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP), the main principles of scenario rationalization, sizing methodologies, device sizing, and rating are discussed. Gain an understanding of effluent handling/flare design, relevant consequence analyses, and mitigative techniques for potentially deficient systems. Case studies, lessons learned, and practical examples are incorporated throughout the course to demonstrate principles and enrich learning. Training will be delivered at our Houston, TX office on August 24, 2023.
After completing the course, the learner will understand the importance of thoughtful and thorough rationalization, the appropriate selection of sizing methodologies, quantitative evaluation of devices and disposal systems, and engineering methodologies for minimizing cost and maximizing safety during mitigation.
