Our presenters

Georges A. Melhem

Georges A. Melhem, Ph.D., FAIChE
President and Chief Executive Officer, ioMosaic Corp

Dr. Melhem is an internationally known pressure relief design, chemical reaction systems, and fire and explosion dynamics expert. In this regard, he has provided consulting and design services, expert testimony and incident investigation support, and reconstruction for a large number of clients. Dr. Melhem holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering, as well as a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Industrial Engineering, all from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. In addition, he has completed executive training in the areas of Finance and Strategic Sales Management at the Harvard Business School.


Michelle Murphy

Michelle Murphy
Partner, ioKinetic, LLC

Ms. Murphy expertise includes combustible dust hazard management, reactive chemical evaluation, kinetic modeling, reactive vent size evaluation, process safety management, and process hazard analysis (PHA). Her process safety work has been conducted throughout the chemical and oil and gas industries, including specialty chemical, pharmaceutical, plastics, oil production and refining, as well as agricultural processing facilities. Prior to ioMosaic, Ms. Murphy was a manager at Arthur D. Little, Inc. where she worked for 10 years in process safety and risk management. Prior to that Ms. Murphy worked as an engineer in the Butyl Polymers Technology Group of Exxon Chemical Corporation.


Neil Prophet

Neil Prophet
Senior Partner, ioMosaic Corp

Mr. Prophet is a Senior Partner with ioMosaic Corporation, and manager of our Houston office. He has eighteen years’ experience in the field of process safety, and has worked in a variety of process safety roles including consulting, technical support, technical sales, and training. His current responsibilities for ioMosaic Corporation include managing Pressure Relief and Flare System design studies, and conducting Quantitative Risk Analysis studies. Mr. Prophet has a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Energy Systems & the Environment, both from the University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom.
