Many hazardous scenarios that lead to overpressure in process equipment are dynamic and complex events. For example a vapor breakthrough can occur after an instrument failure which causes uncontrolled flow from high-pressure to low-pressure equipment, after a loss of liquid level in the upstream equipment. Simplistic analysis of such events in design can lead to significantly oversized safety equipment, impacting CAPEX and OPEX.
Join us on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 9:00 AM CST / 3:00 PM BST, for a complimentary 1-hour webinar presented by Daniel Wilkes to explore how advanced computational modelling of overpressure events can improve understanding of overpressure scenarios. Mr. Wilkes is a process safety and risk management consultant with extensive experience in the chemical, oil & gas, and pharmaceutical industries, working on pressure relief and flare system design, reactive relief and effluent handling systems for polymer production and flammability analysis. He specializes in using complex simulation tools to improve the safety of his clients' production facilities. Mr. Wilkes graduated with a first-class Master's degree from the University of Bath.
