Vice President and Technical Director Eric Smith presented highlights of a future where refrigeration is increasingly sustainable, energy-efficient, and primarily utilizes natural refrigerants, guided by modern safety standards and technological innovation. Refrigeration is transitioning away from high Global Warming Potential (GWP) synthetic refrigerants towards low-GWP, natural alternatives such as ammonia, CO₂, and propane.
